Hand exercise #1: wrist stretch
One can bend backward, softly, the stroke-affected wrist while that hand’s fingers stay laced together. Do this stretch with that elbow bent first, and then straightened next, bent, straightened, back and forth. Hold each stretch for 15 to 20 seconds, and then release.

Hand exercise #2: palm stretch
Still while that stroke-affected hand’s fingers stay laced together, softly stretch it by rotating it, palm-side up. Do this stretch towards one side and then the other, left, right, back and forth. Hold each stretch for 15 to 20 seconds, and then release.
